Abstract:
The purpose of the present invention is to prevent stray light from reducing display quality. Provided is a laser light output control device 101 that provides feedback on the intensity of the laser light emitted by a light source 11 to thereby adjust the control value used by the light source 11 to display an image M, wherein: an illuminance determination unit 21 acquires an illuminance signal that allows estimation of the illuminance in the ambient environment or acquires a request luminance signal that externally controls the luminance of the image M, and determines the brightness of the ambient environment; an inspection time adjustment unit 22 shortens a period Q during which the lights source 11 emits inspection light Cd when the illuminance determination unit 21 determines that there is a dark ambient environment, compared to when there is a bright ambient environment; and a light source control unit 23 acquires an integrated value Sd of the intensity of the inspection light Cd emitted by the light source 11 and adjusts a control value for driving the light source 11.
