Abstract:
This laser light source device is provided with: a seed light source 10; fiber amplifiers 20, 30 and a solid amplifier 50 that amplify pulse light outputted from the seed light source; non-linear optical elements 60, 70 that perform wavelength conversion on the pulse light outputted from the solid amplifier 50, and output the pulse light; a semiconductor optical amplifier 15 that is disposed between the seed light source 10 and the solid amplifier 50 and that amplifies the pulse light outputted from the seed light source 10; and a control unit 100 that performs a gain switching control process of driving the seed light source 10 at a desired repetition frequency, and a semiconductor optical amplifier control process of controlling injection current to the semiconductor optical amplifier 15 according to the repetition frequency of the seed light source 10, and thus, occurrence of a giant pulse can be reliably avoided irrespective of the repetition frequency of the seed light source.
