Abstract:
A laser module according to the present disclosure is provided with: a laser diode which includes a plurality of emitters arranged in a first direction, and which emits laser light from each of the plurality of emitters in a light emitting plane; a first collimator lens which is provided on the light emitting plane side of the laser diode, and which has positive power in a fast axis direction; a beam twister which is positioned on the laser light emitted side of the first collimator lens, and which causes the laser light to turn through approximately 90 degrees; and an optical element which is positioned on the laser light emitted side of the beam twister, and which has a plurality of incident surfaces provided in a stepped manner. The laser module satisfies the following condition expression (1), wherein: x is the distance from an emitting plane of the beam twister to the incident surfaces of the optical element; W is the width of the incident surfaces in the first direction; λ is the wavelength of the laser light; f is the focal point distance of the first collimator lens; and w0 is the beam size of the laser light in a direction perpendicular to the first direction on the emitting plane of the emitters.
