Abstract:
A laser module having a longer operating life than conventional average device is provided. The laser module (1) is provided with a plurality of laser diodes (LD1 to LD6) and an optical fiber (OF), wherein laser light output from each laser diode (LDi) is input to the optical fiber (OF). The plurality of laser diodes (LD1 to LD6) are arranged such that, of light rays constituting return light exiting the optical fiber (OF), a paraxial ray with an exit angle θ from the optical fiber (OF) which is not more than θ1 according to expression (A) does not intersect with an active layer of the laser diode (LDi) at an exit end face of each laser diode (LDi).
