Abstract:
The present invention relates to a laser notching apparatus for a secondary battery electrode, wherein the apparatus continuously forms a plurality of lead tabs at the edge of the electrode of the secondary battery by performing a notching process in which the electrode is cut into a certain pattern by irradiating an edge region of the electrode with a laser beam while continuously conveying the electrode. The laser notching apparatus for a secondary battery electrode according to the present invention may include: a laser emitter for cutting an electrode into a certain shape by irradiating an edge region of the electrode; a jig base installed so as to be fixed to one side of the laser emitter; a jig unit which is installed on the jig base and formed in a cylindrical shape, wherein the electrode is guided while pressed against the outer surface of the jig unit, and a tab-processing hole, through which the laser beam for cutting the edge region of the electrode passes, is formed in the outer surface on one side of the jig unit; a fume suctioning unit which is installed on one side of the jig unit so as to communicate with the tab-processing hole and suctions, into the inner space of the tab-processing hole, fumes and foreign substances generated during the laser cutting of the electrode; and an air spraying unit which sprays air from one side of the tab-processing hole toward the other side during the laser cutting of the electrode, thereby preventing the cut portion of the electrode from being pushed inside the tab-processing hole and keeping the cut portion on the outside.
