Abstract:
Provided is a laser triggered multi-stage vacuum switch, belonging to the technical field of high-voltage and high-power pulse power switches. The switch comprises a laser triggered vacuum gap, a multi-stage self-breakdown vacuum gap and a trigger system, wherein the multi-stage self-breakdown vacuum gap is fixed at an upper end of the laser triggered vacuum gap by means of a fastening connecting piece (7), and a grading ring (6) is sheathed outside an upper insulating housing (3). A technique of series connection of a laser triggered vacuum gap and a multi-stage self-breakdown vacuum gap is used, and by means of mutual cooperation of both, application of the laser triggered multi-stage vacuum switch in a high-voltage, high-repetition-frequency and high-power pulse power system is realized. Trigger targets are bombarded while using multiple paths of laser, such that the action area of laser on the targets is increased, more initial plasma is generated, and the conduction performance of a laser triggered vacuum switch is further improved. Using the laser triggered multi-stage vacuum switch avoides a complex process and high cost required for long-term maintenance.
