Abstract:
A purpose of the invention is to minimize the change in an engaged state of a latch and a rod-shaped part even when a base plate has deformed during a collision. A latch device (1) for a vehicle is provided with a latch (20) capable of engaging with a rod-shaped part, a base plate (10) turnably supporting the latch (20) and having a stress-concentrated part (SC) configured so as to deform under the concentration of stress during a collision, and a restricting member (a first bolt (B1)) for restricting the deformation of the stress-concentrated part (SC) during a collision, the restricting member being provided in proximity to the stress-concentrated part (SC).
