Abstract:
The present invention provides a latent heat storage material which contains tetrabutylammonium nitrate (TBAN) and which has a halide salt added thereto as a super-cooling inhibitor. Provided is a tetrabutylammonium nitrate-containing latent heat storage material which comprises water, tetrabutylammonium ions, nitrate ions, and a halide salt that is insoluble in the water, wherein the tetrabutylammonium nitrate formed of the tetrabutylammonium ions and the nitrate ions forms a clathrate hydrate, and the amount of the water is an amount resulting in a concentration that provides a congruent melting point of the clathrate hydrate.
