Abstract:
The present invention reads information stored in a memory and suppresses sagging of a multilayer film. This layer transfer device 1A transfers a transfer layer onto a sheet S and comprises: a housing body 21 having an opening; a cartridge (transfer layer film cartridge FC) that can be attached to/detached from the housing body 21 from an opening 21A; an electrical contact 150A; and a resistance imparting member RM. The cartridge has a supply reel 31 around which is wound a multilayer film F having a transfer layer F22 and a support layer F1 supporting the transfer layer F22, a winding reel 35 for winding up the multilayer film F, and a memory 100A having a contact surface. The electrical contact 150A contacts the contact surface when the cartridge is fitted to the housing body 21. The resistance imparting member RM imparts resistance to the rotation of the supply reel 31.
