Abstract:
This lead acid storage battery comprises an electrode plate group, a battery case, a positive electrode strap, a negative electrode strap, a positive electrode column, a negative electrode column, a cover and an electrolyte solution. The negative electrode column and a negative electrode bushing provided on the cover form a negative electrode terminal. With respect to the negative electrode terminal, the maximum value of the gap between the outer circumferential surface of the negative electrode column and the inner circumferential surface of the negative electrode bushing is from 0.5 mm to 2.5 mm (inclusive). A rib is provided on the lower part of the negative electrode bushing, and the minimum value of the projection height of the rib is from 1.5 mm to 4.0 mm (inclusive). The distance between the liquid level of the electrolyte solution and the lowest part of the negative electrode bushing is 15 mm or less.
