Abstract:
A lead acid storage battery which is provided with a positive electrode plate, a negative electrode plate, a separator that is interposed between the positive electrode plate and the negative electrode plate, and an electrolyte solution, wherein: the positive electrode plate contains a positive electrode material; the negative electrode plate contains a negative electrode material; the negative electrode material contains elemental Bi; the content of elemental Bi in the negative electrode material is 100 ppm to 300 ppm on a mass basis; and the separator comprises a resin base material, while having a conductive layer between the negative electrode plate and the resin base material.
