Abstract:
Provided is a lead battery reconditioning device capable of reconditioning a deteriorated lead battery. The lead battery reconditioning device has a disposal determination unit, a desulfation/charging unit, a discharging unit, a count determination unit, a charging unit, and a display unit. The desulfation/charging unit charges the battery for 9 to 11 minutes by applying a charging current, in which a direct-current base current having a current value of 4A to 5A and a square-wave pulse current having a frequency of 9 kHz to 11 kHz are superimposed on each other, from the battery reconditioning device to the battery. In an embodiment, a charging current, in which a direct-current base current having a current value of 4.2A and a square-wave pulse current having a frequency of 10 kHz are superimposed on each other, is applied to charge the lead battery 7 until the lapse of 10-minute continuous charging. The desulfation/charging unit can eliminate sulfation as a factor of deterioration of the lead battery 7 by imparting electric vibrations based on this pulse current to the lead battery 7.
