Abstract:
A leak detector (100) that detects electrical leakage in an electric vehicle (1) having a battery (60) and a charging connector (49) capable of electrically connecting to a terminal unit formed at one end of an external power line that supplies power from outside to the battery, the leak detector (100) being provided with: connector connection units (TP, TN, SW3A, SW3B) that are capable of electrically connecting to the charging connector; a contact piece (109) that comes into contact with a vehicle body ground (4) of the electric vehicle; and detection circuits (Rp, Rn, 112) that detect whether or not there is electrical leakage from the battery to the vehicle body ground, on the basis of current flowing between the connector connection units and the contact piece.
