Abstract:
Disclosed is a leakage breaker comprising: a level discriminator (4) that compares the output levels of a zero-phase current transformer (1) provided in an electrical circuit, with each of a plurality of pre-set reference levels, and outputs a plurality of pulses that indicate the time that the plurality of reference levels were exceeded; a continuous time count unit (6) that counts the time that pulses are continuously output, for each of the plurality of reference levels and based on each of the plurality of pulses output from the level discriminator (4); a circuit break determination unit (7) that outputs a signal to break the electrical circuit in the event that circuit break levels set for each of the plurality of reference levels are maintained and the time obtained by the continuous time count unit exceeds the circuit break level for the corresponding reference level; and a relay coil drive circuit (8) that drives a coil (3a) in a circuit break relay, in response to the output signal from the circuit break determination unit (7).
