Abstract:
A leakage detector for an evaporated-fuel treatment device (10) includes: the evaporated-fuel treatment device (10) including a fuel tank (20), a canister (30), and a fuel pump (21); a purge valve (32) and an air-passage valve (35) that maintain the interior of a treatment system of the evaporated-fuel treatment device (10) in a sealed state; a sealing valve (41) and a shutoff valve (43) that can shut off communication between the fuel tank (20) and the canister (30) to section the interior of the treatment system into a first region including the fuel tank (20) and a second region including the canister (30); and an aspirator (50) that applies a negative pressure to the second region. The leakage detector for the evaporated-fuel treatment device (10) determines the presence/absence of leakage in the first region on the basis of a change in the pressure in the first region while an engine (12) is stopped and determines the presence/absence of leakage in the second region on the basis of a change in the pressure in the second region by applying a negative pressure to the second region while the engine (12) is operated.
