Abstract:
A portable compact device which can accurately test a liquid volume meter, such as a pipette, for leakage.
A pipette (P) is connected to the device body side via a tube (11). In this state, a command from a central processing section (8) causes a pump (3) to perform a suction operation to thereby reduce the pressure on the pipette (P) side to a predetermined pressure, and a pressure sensor (7) detects a variation in the pressure in a predetermined period of time. The central processing section (8) determines whether or not the pipette (P) has a leakage, and displays the result of the determination on a display section (9). Particularly when a diaphragm pump is used as the pump (3), the pulsation of an air flow occurring in a suction operation is attenuated in a pressure container (5) to avoid an adverse influence on others. A filter (10) is provided to the flow path of air to prevent, in a pressure reducing operation, a residue from entering the inside of the device from the pipette (P) side and to prevent, in a pressurizing operation, dust from flowing into the pipette (P) from gas which is discharged from the pump (3) side. The filter (10) is disposed outside a case (1), and this enables only the filter (10) to be replaced without opening the case.
