Abstract:

The present invention relates to a leakage tester for simple and stable test of the sealed state or leakage of various kinds of packing containers for food and medicine, such as pouches, capsules and vacuum packing containers. The leakage tester comprises: a cylindrical tester container having a container body for storing a sample liquid therein, a cover part, and a guide pipe, of which one end is open at the upper end of the container body and the other end passes through the bottom of the container body, thereby connecting the guide pipe to a vacuum line of a tester body; and the tester body formed integrally with the tester container, and having a vacuum pump connected to the vacuum line and a control unit for controlling the vacuum pressure in the tester container to be at a desired level by activating the vacuum pump. A solenoid valve is opened and the vacuum pump is activated by detection of a signal transmitted by a pressure sensor until the pressure in the tester container reaches a preset pressure level, and the solenoid valve is opened/closed and the vacuum pump is activated by detection of a signal transmitted by the pressure sensor for a predetermined time period, subsequent to reaching the preset pressure, thereby retaining the pressure in the tester container. As the tester container and the tester body are formed integrally with each other, the leakage tester can perform a leakage test on sealed packing products without occupying a large space. Further, since the pressure in the tester container can be retained automatically at a desired level of pressure for a desired time period, a leakage test can be performed in a simple manner without need of inconvenient manual control of the pressure.
