Abstract:

Provided is a lean vehicle which causes little attitude change at the time of turning and makes it easy for a driver to operate during turning. A vehicle 1, which is the lean vehicle, is provided with: an inclination detection unit 61 that detects the attitude of a vehicle body 2; a multilevel automatic transmission machine 12 that has a plurality of transmission gears and a clutch 40 capable of switching between a transmission state and a non-transmission state of driving force from an engine 11 to the plurality of transmission gears and that changes driving force to be transmitted from the engine 11 to a front wheel and/or a rear wheel by switching between the plurality of transmission gears automatically and stepwisely; and a control device 7 that, when the engine speed is less than a threshold value, sets the clutch 40 to the non-transmission state so as to set the vehicle to an inertia traveling state and that controls switching between the plurality of transmission gears in the multilevel automatic transmission machine 12. When the inclination detection unit 61 detects that the vehicle 1 is turning in an inclined state and the vehicle 1 is performing inertia traveling while the clutch 40 is in the non-transmission state, the control device 7 prohibits downshift of the plurality of transmission gears in the multilevel automatic transmission machine 12.
