Abstract:
The present invention provides a leaning vehicle for which the frequency of maintenance for a starting lead battery can be reduced. The leaning vehicle is provided with: wheels, the cross-sectional shape of the tread surfaces of which is arc-shaped; an engine; a starting motor; a permanent magnet-type generator that is driven by the engine and generates power; a start control valve-type lead battery that has a container that seals therein an electrolytic solution, an electrode that is provided in the container and has a structure for returning a gas generated inside the container to the electrolytic solution by absorbing the gas, and a control valve for discharging the gas generated inside the container to the outside of the container, the battery supplying power to the motor when starting the engine and being charged with the power generated by the permanent magnet-type generator during a combustion action of the engine; and an electric double layer capacitor that is connected to the start control valve-type lead battery for supplying power to the permanent magnet-type generator when starting the engine, and that has an electrostatic capacity that can charge power of an amount for starting the engine at least one time by means of the permanent magnet-type generator.
