Description:
LEAPING-UP PASTEBOARD DUMP Background of the invention Field of the Invention The present invention relates to a pasteboard dump and a manufacturing method therefore, in which the pasteboard dump is laid inside out by the reaction force of an elastic string upon being released from a holding, thereby exposing an internal picture.

Discussion of Related Art Generally, when a person plays a pasteboard dump, the other pasteboard dump is laid upside down by the wind of the hitting pasteboard dump. Further, on one face or both faces of a pasteboard dump, there are printed pictures.

Accordingly, for the sake of facilitating the confirmation that the pasteboard dump has been laid upside down, or for the sake of a selection play, there is printed a picture only on one face of it. Or various characters are shown to define its grade.

However, such plays are limited in their kinds, and therefore, they cannot meet the tastes of smart and clever children.

Summary of the Invention The present invention is intended to overcome the above described disadvantage of the conventional techniques.

Therefore it is an object of the present invention to provide a pasteboard dump and a manufacturing method therefore, in which the pasteboard dump is laid inside out by the reaction force

of an elastic string upon being released from a holding, thereby exposing an internal picture, and making it possible to perform diversified kinds of plays.

Brief Description of the Attached Drawings The present invention is intended to overcome the above described disadvantage of the conventional techniques.

Therefore it is an object of the present invention to provide a pasteboard dump and a manufacturing method therefore, in which the pasteboard dump is laid inside out by the reaction force of an elastic string upon being released from a holding, thereby exposing an internal picture, and making it possible to perform diversified kinds of plays.

The above object and other advantages of the present invention will become more apparent by describing in detail the preferred embodiments of the present invention with reference to the attached drawings in which: FIG. 1 is a perspective view of the pasteboard dump elastically folded according to the present invention; FIG. 2 is a perspective view of the pasteboard dump unfolded ; FIG. 3 is a sectional view of the pasteboard dump showing the groove for folding it ; FIG. 4 is a perspective view of another embodiment of the elastic string according to the present invention; FIG. 5 illustrates the use of the device of the present invention ; FIG. 6 is a perspective view showing the engaging of the elastic string; FIG. 7 is a sectional view of the pasteboard dump with a foldable bar formed thereon; FIG. 8 is a sectional view of the pasteboard dump with a foldable tape formed thereon ;

FIG. 9 is a sectional view of the pasteboard dump with a coated film formed thereon ; FIG. 10 is a perspective view of a completely unfolded state of the pasteboard dump of FIG. 9; FIG 11 is a sectional view of a completely folded state of the pasteboard dump; and FIG. 12 is a schematic view showing the manufacturing sequence for the pasteboard dump of FIG. 9.

Detailed Description of Preferred Embodiment Now the present invention will be described in detail referring to the attached drawings as to its preferred embodiments.

In describing them, the same elements will be assigned with the same reference codes throughout all the drawings.

As shown in FIG. 1, a pair of pasteboard dump bodies 9 and 9a are provided with a pair of engaging slots 3 respectively, so that an elastic string 4 can be engaged into them.

Under this condition, the elastic string 4 is band-shaped, and the band-shaped string 4 can be either crossingly engaged as shown in FIG. 2 or can be straightly engaged through a pair of engaging holes 5 (which are respectively formed in the pair of the pasteboard dump bodies 9 and 9a) by using a pair of engaging pieces 6.

Meanwhile, the pair of the pasteboard dumps 9 and 9a are integrally sheared, and have a folding line 1 through the middle of them, so that a folding groove 2 can be formed along the folding line 1, thereby making it easy to fold the pair of the pasteboard dump bodies 9 and 9a. Or the pair of the bodies 9 and 9a can be sheared separately, and then can be joined with a folding tape 7 or with a folding bar 8.

Under this condition, the folding bar 8 is provided with a pair of fitting slots 8a on both ends of it. In this case, the

pasteboard dump bodies 9 and 9a can be separated from each other, thereby making it possible to perform diversified plays.

Further, there is taken into account the fact that the folding portion of the pasteboard dump can be damaged due to frequent hits on the ground. In order to prevent such damages of the folding portion, there is formed an opening part 20 along the folding line 1, and then, a coating film layer 40 is formed over the entire surface of the pasteboard dump bodies 9 and 9a including the opening part 20. The opening part 20 is entirely filled with the coating film layer 40.

Now the manufacturing method for the pasteboard dump according to the present invention will be described in detail.

At a raw sheet preparing step (first step), there is made available a thick and stiff paper as a leapable raw sheet 10, for manufacturing the pasteboard dump.- At a Thompson working step (second step), there is carried out a pre-step for forming an opening part 20 on the upper face of the raw sheet 10, for realizing a folding part. At this step which is a pre-step for forming the opening part 20, tiny perforations are carried out at the respective portions which respectively correspond to the folding lines, so that the Thompson portion 20a can be removed later.

At a tripping step (third step) for forming the opening part 20, the Thompson portions 20a are removed from the raw sheet 10 by using a tripping die 30 which has a plurality of blades.

When carrying out the Thompson operation, a pad is disposed under the raw sheet 10, so that the Thompson portions 20a can be efficiently removed.

After the opening parts 20 are formed in the raw sheet 10 by employing the Thompson operation and the tripping operation, there is carried out a laminating operation step (fourth step) on each of both faces of the raw sheet 10, for forming a filming coating layer 40. At this step, the opening parts 20 are filled with coating film layers 40 respectively.

Then a Thompson operation step (fifth step) (blanking step) is carried out to blank out the pasteboard dumps from the raw sheet 10.

The pictures or patterns on the pasteboard dumps can be printed on the raw sheet 10 prior to carrying out the laminating operation and after the formation of the opening parts 20.

The opening part 20 purely consists of the coating film layer 40, while the pasteboard dump 50 which has been blanked out from the raw sheet 10 consists of two bodies 51a and 51b. The two bodies 51a and 51b are symmetrically formed across the opening part 20. Each of the two bodies 51a and 51b is provided with a pair of engaging slots 3 into which the elastic string 4 is engaged. These are the basic constituents of the leaping-up pasteboard dump.

After blanking out the pasteboard dumps 50 from the raw sheet 10, they are respectively folded across the opening parts 20 in which the coating film layers 40 have been formed.

Meanwhile in the drawings, each of the bodies 51a and 51b is roughly triangular, but the shapes of animals, insects and plants can be adopted.

Accordingly, in the pasteboard dump of the present invention, at first, the elastic string 4 is engaged on the folded pasteboard dump bodies 9 and 9a. Then if the bodies 9 and 9a are unfolded, then the elastic string 4 is extended to form a potential reaction force owing to the elastic force of the string 4.

Under this condition, if the external force is released, that is, if the pasteboard dump is placed on the ground and the hand is released, then the pasteboard dump leaps up owing to the elastic force of the elastic string, resulting in that the pasteboard dump is folded in the other direction, and that the internal picture is visually exposed. That is, the pasteboard dump is laid inside out. Thus playing becomes possible.

According to the present invention as described above, diversified plays are possible based on the leaping-up principle, and therefore, this pasteboard dump can be applied to various cases.
