A learning assistance system 1 has: an identification means 12 for identifying an on-line lecture; a schedule determination means 13 for determining a model schedule for attending the on-line lecture; a timing determination means 14 for determining a warning time with respect to the model schedule; and a warning means 15 for issuing, at the determined time, a warning to a user who is extracted from among users and whose attendance record shows lag behind the model schedule.
