Title:
LED ASSEMBLY FOR ADJUSTING AN ASYMMETRICAL LIGHT DISTRIBUTION CURVE, ATTACHABLE AND DETACHABLE LED ASSEMBLY BLOCKS USING THE SAME, AND AN LED LIGHTING APPARATUS HAVING AN ATTACHABLE AND DETACHABLE BLOCK ASSEMBLY STRUCTURE
Document Type and Number:
WIPO Patent Application WO/2011/149237
Kind Code:
A3
Abstract:
The present invention relates to an LED assembly for adjusting an asymmetrical light distribution curve, attachable and detachable LED assembly blocks using the same, and an LED lighting apparatus having an attachable and detachable block assembly structure, capable of radiating light wholly onto the road without unnecessarily radiating light onto other surrounding areas or opposite-lane areas of the road. To this end, the present invention comprises an LED package with embedded LED chips inside primary and secondary lenses; a movable support having the LED package mounted on the top surface and a ball joint attached to the bottom side thereof; and a fixed support to which the ball joint of the movable support is movably supported, wherein the movable support is tilted and oriented depending on the radiation distance and direction, respectively, by the ball joint coupling with the fixed support, and the asymmetric secondary lens is set in such a manner that the lens is able to spin about an optical axis.
