Abstract:
Disclosed is an edge-light type LED backlight, wherein visible-light light-sources (11) and invisible-light light-sources (12) are mounted onto an FPC (4) in a side-view type manner, and light is entered into a light-guiding plate (2) from a side face thereof. In order to provide, in such a situation, a LED backlight wherein visible light and invisible light can be led into the light-guiding plate efficiently, to improve light-emitting efficiency, the LED backlight (1) was configured so as to have reflection members (5, 6), which reflect both visible light and invisible light and guide those light to a light entering section, formed on both a first face side that corresponds to the mounting-face side of the FPC (4), and a second face side that corresponds to the back-face side of the FPC.
