Abstract:

An LED display unit and a display device using the LED display unit. The LED display unit (1) comprises a substrate (10) and multiple LED chips (20). The substrate (10) is an elongated strip in shape. The substrate (10) comprises a front surface (101), a rear surface (102), and several lateral surfaces (103, 104, 105, and 106). The front surface (101) and the rear surface (102) of the substrate (10) are provided with electrically-conductive circuits. The multiple LED chips (20) are arranged on the lateral surface (103) of the substrate (10). The LED chips (20) are connected with the electrically-conductive circuits of the front surface (101) and of the rear surface (102) of the substrate (10) by utilizing a wire bonding process, thus allowing the LED display unit (1) to be highly integrated and inexpensive.
