Description:
LED GOAL SYSTEM

Technical Field

The invention relates to a goal system with LEDs that is used on all types of football pitches (such as stadiums, carpet pitches) and which allows the LEDs on the goalposts to light when the goal is scored.

The invention is particularly relevant to the LED goal system, which allows the LEDs on the goalposts to light through a control circuit within when the goal is scored.

Prior Art

The goalposts are generally made of metal, and have a diameter of 12 cm, a round section and a white color. In Article-2 of the regulation of International Football Association Board (IFAB), it is stated as "The goalposts and the crossbar must be made of wood, metal or other approved materials. They must be square, rectangular, round or elliptical in shape and must not be dangerous." Current goalposts are produced according to this regulation.

In the state of art, whether the ball passes the goal line or not is determined by systems such as GoalRef or Hawk-Eye.

In existing GoalRef technology, a low magnetic field is created between the goal line and the goalposts. With the chips inside, the ball sends a signal to the referee clock as soon as it passed the magnetic line. However, in this system, only the referee can receive the information of a goal, and there is no notification to the people around.

In the existing Hawk-Eye system, the images from the cameras in the carpet-pitch are taken to create graphics in the computer environment. Once the ball has passed the goal line, the referees are sent information. In this system, again the information that the goal is scored is only reported to the referee and audience are not notified.

Consequently, an improvement in the technical field has become necessary due to the above-mentioned drawbacks and the inadequacies of the existing solutions. Purpose of the Invention

The invention is inspired by the existing circumstances and aims to solve the above- mentioned drawbacks. The main purpose of the invention is to determine whether the goal is scored or not by using GoalRef technology and/or the Hawk-Eye system, and then to enable the LEDs on the goalposts to light through the control circuit.

Another purpose of the invention is to visually display the information about whether there is a goal or not with the LEDs are lit in different colors through the control circuit. Another purpose of the invention is to provide visualization of the goalposts with LED module.

In order to fulfill the above-mentioned purposes, the invention is a goal system, which includes goalposts to provide information to people on whether or not a goal is scored, used in areas such as a football field, and is provided with an LED module located on the goalposts and visually indicating whether or not goals are scored to the audience in predetermined colors, a control circuit that provides information about whether or not goals are scored by using information that the magnetic field between the goal line and the goalposts is distorted or not and/or by processing the information received from the cameras located on the field. The structural and characteristic features of the invention and all advantages thereof will be understood more clearly by means of the following figures and detailed description which are given by referring to these figures, and therefore the evaluation should be made by taking these figures and detailed explanation into consideration.

Detailed Description of the Invention

In this detailed description, preferred construction of the LED goal system is explained only for a better understanding of the subject.

Unlike current goal posts, in the LED goal system, the goalposts (1 ) and the crossbar will be illuminated preferably to demonstrate whether the ball passed the goal line or not, or manually or automatically turning on at any time, with the methods described below. The goalposts (1 ) and the crossbar will be illuminated in following ways: · with the aid of the LED module (2) or other light sources to be placed in the ducts located on at least one or more sides of the aluminum profiles which are specially designed for the goal posts (1 ) and crossbar,

• with the aid of the LED module (2) or other light sources to be placed in various places within the goalposts (1 ) and the crossbar which are formed of transparent material,

• with the aid of the LED module (2) to be placed on the existing goalposts (1 ) and the crossbar,

• with the aid of the LED module (2) or other light sources to be placed in the ducts that will be placed in certain locations above the existing goalposts (1 ) and crossbar (Figure 1 ),

• With the aid of products to be placed above the existing goalposts (1 ) or crossbar, such as signs showing text, number or time.

In any case, the LED module (2) or other light sources may be placed either on the whole goalpost (1 ) and crossbar, or in a specific area on them. Also in any case, lighting can be made by placing the light sources on one or more sides of the goal posts (1 ) and crossbar.

Working Principle of Invention:

The information on whether the goal is scored or not by using the interruptions of magnetic field between the goal line and the goalposts and/or by using the computer processed images that are taken from the cameras positioned around the field is received by the control circuit (3). The control circuit (3) processes this information and decides whether it is a goal or not, and consequently determines in which color LED Module (2) should light, and ensures that the LED Module (2) will light in the detected color.

The invention also includes a power supply (4) that provides energy for the control circuit (3) and LED module (2).
