Abstract:
A LED illumination device capable of open/short circuit protection and its illumination circuit are provided. The LED illumination device comprises at least two light source modules (32, 42), at least two LED groups, a power supply (33, 43, 79), and multiple protecting elements. The LED groups are provided in the light source modules (32, 42) in one-to-one correspondence. Each LED group forms a loop independent of each other. Each LED group comprises multiple light emitting diodes (65) in series. The power supply (33, 43, 79) is connected with the LED groups separately for supplying constant currents for each LED group. The protecting elements are provided in the light source modules (32, 42). The number of the protecting elements corresponds to the number of the light emitting diodes (65), so as to ensure the normal operation of the other light emitting diodes (65) in the light source module (32, 42) in which a light emitting diode (65) is opened. The LED illumination device capable of open/short circuit protection and its illumination circuit can prolong the life of the LED illumination device and reduce the maintenance cost thereof.
