Abstract:
The invention relates a LED and LED lamp. The LED includes at least a LED chip installed on a base having high heat conductivity, said LED chip is electrically connected to a power source through a circuit board, in upward side of said LED chip there is a transparent medium, the upper surface of said base is a light -reflecting plane or a light -reflecting plane is located around the base. Said LED is characterized in that said circuit board is installed in upward side of the base or around the base. Said LED also includes a radiator directly mechanically connected to the base by a screw rod or screw hole located in the center on the lower surface of the base. A LED lamp may be formed in such way that said LED is electrically connected to a drive circuit by its leading-out wires, then said drive circuit is connected to an electric connector by its shell, and then in this way formed assembly is inclosed in a transparent bulb. The LED has high efficiency, large power and long life, and is used for fabricating LED traffic lamp, LED plane ligh source,and so on.
