Title:
LED LIGHTING DEVICE INCLUDING A SURPLUS LIGHT-EMITTING BLOCK
Document Type and Number:
WIPO Patent Application WO/2012/091359
Kind Code:
A3
Abstract:
The present invention relates to an LED lighting device including a surplus light-emitting block in addition to a general LED light-emitting block, in which the surplus light-emitting block is not turned on at the designed centered voltage, and is turned on at a voltage higher than the designed centered voltage. To this end, according to the present invention, the LED lighting device including a surplus light-emitting block includes: a rectifier circuit for rectifying AC voltage and converting it to rectified DC voltage; at least one LED light-emitting block; a load where the LED light-emitting blocks are connected in series; a switch block including a switch for bypassing the current which flows in each of the LED light-emitting blocks; a current source for adjusting the current supplied to the LED light-emitting block; a controller for calculating the designed current value on the basis of the AC voltage and providing the calculated designed current value to the control signal of the current source; and an extra surplus light-emitting block which is not turned on at the designed centered voltage, and is turned on at a voltage higher than the designed centered voltage.
