Abstract:
The present invention relates to a recording medium which minimizes a laterality error in a hospital information system (HIS) and a use thereof. The recording medium according to the present invention comprises an input module and a correction module, and includes an algorithm for detecting and correcting a laterality error between the recording medium and patient information in real time, in a hospital information system. For actual implementation, the detection and the correction of a laterality error between a medical examination name and a medical report using a macro program has been identified in a radiologic report. Using the recording medium of the present invention, all of laterality errors (discrepancy between the medical examination name and the medical report) not more than 0.05%, which actually existed in a hospital information system, could be detected and corrected. Further, using the recording medium in the future, it would be possible to prevent possible occurance of the laterality error. Thus, the recording medium of the present invention and a system using the same can remarkably reduce the laterality error in the hospital information system, thereby providing a more accurate medical service to a patient. Moreover, the recording medium and the system can more actively take action against issues in accurate medicine and patient protection, which are recently spotlighted, and thus can effectively induce increase in productivity and competitiveness of a medical service in a hospital (e.g. increase in productivity and improvement of a medical service through medical treatment and medical treatment support).
