Abstract:
The present invention relates to a spanner capable of adjusting the gap between jaws to meet the standards of bolts or nuts to be fastened, and capable of preventing the adjusted gap between the jaws from widening by the force applied to the jaws during a fastening operation. The length-adjustable spanner comprises: a handle; a head, which has a flat shape and is joined to one end portion of the handle, and has a guide groove formed in the middle of the thickness direction on the end surface thereof at the opposite side of the handle, and a through-hole formed at the center of an adjusting piece in the thickness direction and communicating with the guide groove; a fixing jaw pin-coupled to the head so as to be rotatable in one direction, thereby protruding from one longitudinal side of the end surface of the head; a movable jaw having a guide rail in a form of engaging with the guide groove, such that the guide rail is inserted into the guide groove; the adjusting piece inserted into the through-hole of the head; a spring for pressing the adjusting piece toward the guide groove; and a pressing means, which presses or does not press the fixing jaw, wherein a plurality of first protrusions are formed at intervals on the end surface of the guide rail of the movable jaw in the longitudinal direction of the end surface thereof, and a plurality of second protrusions are formed at intervals on one end surface of the adjusting piece in the longitudinal direction of one end surface thereof.
