Abstract:
[Problem] To provide a length measuring apparatus whereby a cutting blade of a cutting device can be accurately positioned in a desired cutting angle position. [Solution] A length measuring apparatus 1, which is used in combination with a cutting device 9 having a cutting blade 91 and which measures the length of a workpiece to be cut by the cutting blade 91, comprises: a slide rail 13 that is fixed relative to the cutting device 9 during length measurement; and a slide part 20 provided so as to be capable of sliding on the slide rail 13, the slide part 20 having a slide body 21, a length measuring instrument 60 for measuring the distance of sliding by the slide body 21 with respect to the slide rail 13, and an arm member 30 for coming in contact with the workpiece provided in a cutting position, the slide part 20 furthermore being provided with an angle gauge member 40 provided at a distal-end part of the arm member 30 that comes in contact with the workpiece, the angle gauge member 40 coming in contact with the cutting blade 91 and measuring the cutting angle of the cutting blade 91.
