Abstract:
Provided are a lens barrel and an image capturing device which are configured so that a movable frame can be smoothly moved. This lens barrel is provided with: a first primary shaft (68) and a first secondary shaft (70) which are affixed to a stationary cylinder (12) and a cam cylinder (14) through a fourth lens group base holding frame (26A); a fourth lens group movable holding frame (26B) for holding a fourth lens group (G4) and supported by the first primary shaft (68) and the first secondary shaft (70) so as to be movable in the direction of an optical axis (Z); and a balance weight (76) disposed on the fourth lens group movable holding frame (26B). The fourth lens group movable holding frame (26B) holds the fourth lens group (G4) such that the center of gravity is offset to one end side of the fourth lens group movable holding frame (26B), and the balance weight (76) is disposed on the other end side of the fourth lens group movable holding frame (26B). This image capturing device is provided with the lens barrel.
