Abstract:
Provided is a method for efficiently producing lenses having excellent accuracy and optical properties. The lens production method according to the present invention includes a step in which the below-mentioned method is used to cut, in a joining portion, an array of lenses fixed on a support tape and having a structure in which two or more lenses are two-dimensionally arranged and are connected to one another by means of the joining portion. Cutting method: From the side opposite that on which the support tape is bonded, proceed along a cutting depth as far as 50% to 99.9% of the thickness of the joining portion. At this point, stop proceeding along the cutting depth, and subsequently cut to 100% of the cutting depth.
