Abstract:
The present invention provides a lens shaping apparatus which makes it possible to suppress the occurrence of burring even if the gap between the outer wall of an upper die and a lower die and the inner wall of a body die is expanded. A lens shaping apparatus (11) according to the present invention is provided with: a body die (12) in which is formed a through-hole (17); first and second dies (13, 14) which are fitted into the through-hole (17) from both ends thereof and are formed with pressing surfaces (20, 30) for pressing from either side against opposing surfaces of a material (24) to be shaped; and dielectric heating coils (15, 16) for heating the first and second dies (13, 14) to a temperature no less than the glass transition temperature, in a state in which the body die (12) is not heated and is set to a temperature no greater than the glass transition temperature.
