Abstract:
A lens system (IL) for forming an image on an imaging element (12), is provided with: a first lens element (L1), a second lens element (L2), and a third lens element (L3) which are arranged in order from the object side to the image surface side along the optical axis (D1); and an aperture (A). In the lens system, the first lens element and/or the second lens element has a free curved surface which is asymmetric with respect to the optical axis. The object-side surface shape of the first lens element is convex toward the object side. The image surface-side surface shape of the second lens element is convex toward the object side. The object-side surface shape of the third lens element is concave toward the image surface side. The lens system has at least one free curved surface on the image surface side from the aperture.
