Provided is a lens unit that can prevent tilting of an optical axis of a movable lens, and an imaging device provided with the lens unit. A lens unit 30 is provided with a lens holding member 36 that is for holding a lens 35 and that has a guided part 43 including first and second bearings 43f, 43e spaced apart from each other in a direction X and being slidably supported on a guide shaft 33. A first distance L1 between the center of a fixed part 35A of the lens 35 in the direction X and the center of the first bearing 43f in the direction X in the lens holding member 36 is larger than a second distance L2 between the center of the fixed part 35A in the direction X and the center of the second bearing 43e in the direction X. A first tilting prevention member 37 having a linear expansion coefficient less than that of the lend holding member 36 is fixed to a region that is located in a portion between the first and second bearings 43f and 43e of the guided part 43 and that is on the side of the first bearing 43f with respect to the center of the fixed part 35A.
