Abstract:
Provided are a lens for vehicular lamp and the like that can clearly define not only a brightness boundary line of a non-irradiation region for masking a masking target located at a long distance in the vicinity of an intersection point between the horizontal line and the vertical line, but also a brightness boundary line of a non-irradiation region for masking a masking target located at a short distance laterally apart from the intersection point between the horizontal line and the vertical line. This lens for vehicular lamp projects a light distribution image that includes a non-irradiation region for not irradiating a masking target and an irradiation region for irradiating a region other than the non-irradiation region. The lens for vehicular lamp is configured: to clearly project a first non-irradiation region for masking a masking target located at a long distance, onto a first position apart by a first distance in the optical axis direction of the lens for vehicular lamp; and to clearly project a second non-irradiation region for masking a masking target located at a short distance, onto a second position apart by a second distance which is shorter than the first distance in a direction inclined at a prescribed angle with respect to the optical axis of the lens for vehicular lamp.
