Abstract:
 Provided is a lesion identification marker for radiation therapy that enables fine metal particles, which absorb X-rays, to be placed at any site in the body, in an amount appropriate for the type of radiation therapy and the therapeutic target site, and that enables the placement site to be identified by radiation therapy equipment. The lesion identification marker for radiation therapy contains a mixture of a calcium phosphate-based bone reinforcing material-containing substance and metal particles. Alternatively, the lesion identification marker for radiation therapy contains a mixture of a calcium phosphate-based bone reinforcing material-containing substance and metal particles having a particle width of 0.5 mm or less, wherein the weight ratio of the metal particles to the calcium phosphate-based bone reinforcing material-containing substance is 1:4 or higher.
