Abstract:
[Problem] To provide an LIBS-type object sorting device that carries out LIBS analysis on objects to be sorted while transporting the same using a conveyor and sorts the objects on the basis of the analysis. [Solution] An LIBS-type object sorting device is provided with, in the following order, a three-dimensional shape measurement means for acquiring a group of spatial coordinates for the upper surface of an object to be sorted viewed from above the conveyer, an LIBS analysis means for carrying out chemical composition analysis on the object to be sorted while irradiating the same with laser light, and a conveyance path switching means for switching the conveyance path of the object to be sorted. The device further includes a computation means for determining an analysis section for LIBS analysis and a control means for moving the position of a beam and, when the arrival of the analysis section is detected on the basis of the conveyor movement amount, causing the laser light to be irradiated while the focus position of the beam moves along the analysis section in correspondence with the movement amount.
