Abstract:
[Problem] To propose a license management system and license management method which are capable of clarifying from where a program originates and accurately managing IT assets in an organization. [Solution] Provided is a license management system, configured from a plurality of computers which executes a program and a management server which manages licenses of the program which is executed by the plurality of computers. When the program is installed, the plurality of computers: acquires input information which is necessary to identify from where the program originates; acquires, from a video which is displayed in a display screen of the computers, window information which is necessary to identify from where the program originates; and transmits, to the management server, inventory information which includes the input information and the window information. The management server receives the inventory information which is transmitted from the plurality of computers, and on the basis of the inventory information, manages the licenses of the program which is executed by the plurality of computers.
