Abstract:
Provided are a license plate enhancement method, an apparatus and an electronic device. The method comprises: obtaining a to-be-processed license plate image; performing a contrast enhancement process on a brightness image corresponding to the to-be-processed license plate image to obtain a target brightness image; generating a plurality of binarized images corresponding to the target brightness image, wherein different binarized images correspond to different brightness domain value intervals; for each binarized image, denoising the target brightness image on the basis of a brightness relationship between a plate base and a font in the to-be-processed license plate image, and according to a denoising rule that a denoising intensity of a third type of pixel points is higher than that of a fourth type of pixel points; generating an enhanced brightness image of the license plate on the basis of each denoised target brightness image; and generating an enhanced license plate image of the license plate on the basis of the enhanced brightness image of the license plate. With this method, the plate base noise can be reduced while ensuring the definition of the font, under the premise of ensuring the contrast requirement between the license plate font and the plate base.
