Abstract:
A light detection module (2) projects light beams scanned along a scanning direction and receives light that arrives from a scanning range. The light detection module is disposed so that the positions in the scanning direction of a scanning center, which is the center of scanning, and a window center, which is the center of an optical window (200) along the scanning direction, are different from each other. In the optical window, the cross-sectional shape of a target surface along a scanning surface that includes a scanning direction and a light-projection direction of light beams projected from the light detection module has an asymmetrical shape relative to the window center, where the target surface is an outside surface that faces outside of a casing and/or an inside surface that faces inside of the casing.
