Abstract:
Provided are a life evaluation device and a method capable of accurately estimating a life of a vehicle even when a track, a suspension component, or both thereof is changed over time. This invention comprises an abnormality detection device characterized by: acquiring vibration data of left and right axle boxes of a leading axle of a railway vehicle in the sleeper direction and operation data such as a travel speed, route conditions, and boarding conditions; and determining a life of a bogie of the vehicle on the basis of vehicle motion analysis performed by using the acquired vibration data and operation data and vehicle suspension parameters recorded in advance. Furthermore, this invention is characterized by comprising a parameter update determination unit for updating, on the basis of a result of comparison between a stress detected by a stress data detection means provided to an arbitrary portion of the bogie and a stress calculated through analysis of the arbitrary portion, parameters that are used for the analysis.
