Abstract:
The invention relates to a lifeguard swimming cap consisting of a cap made from silicone or a similar impermeable material, equipped with a fixing strap that extends below the chin. The lifeguard swimming cap is characterised in that it incorporates the following: a permanent buoyancy element for the chin; a water pressure sensor connected to a buzzer-type noise emitter and an LED by means of a programmable chip which activates the emitter and LED when the sensor detects a pressure increase lasting longer than a programmed time; as well as a small gas pump connected to an inflatable portion of the cap and also connected to the programmable chip of the sensor, which chip automatically activates the pump in order to inflate said portion when the sensor continues to detect the pressure increase for a pre-determined period of time after the time programmed for the activation of the noise emitter and the LED has elapsed.
