Abstract:
Provided is a lifespan prediction device 100, comprising: an operation history accumulation unit 102 that accumulates the operation history of a component constituting a vehicle; a lifespan prediction unit 103 that, on the basis of the operation history, computes a cumulative stress on the component and a stress increase rate and, on the basis of the cumulative stress and the stress increase rate, predicts a remaining travel distance until the component reaches the end of the lifespan thereof; a usage area frequency computation unit 104 that, on the basis of a rotational rate and a load of an internal combustion engine installed in the vehicle, computes a usage area frequency of the internal combustion engine; a usage area frequency storage unit 105 that stores the usage frequency; and a divergence computation unit 106 that computes a divergence between a most recent value of the usage area frequency and a previous value of the usage area frequency. If the divergence is at or above a threshold value, the lifespan prediction unit 103 computes the increase rate on the basis of only the operation history accumulated after the most recent value was computed.
