Abstract:
The purpose of the present invention is to provide a method for strongly immobilizing a ligand on an insoluble formyl group–containing base material, wherein the method enables the production of an adsorbent, or the like, that significantly suppresses leakage of the ligand. This method for immobilizing, on an insoluble formyl group–containing base material, a ligand having an amino group and a specific affinity for a target compound is characterized by including a step for forming an imine by mixing the ligand and the insoluble formyl group–containing base material, and a step for reducing the imine using a borane complex having, as a ligand, a Lewis base with a pKa of 6.5 or lower.
