Abstract:
A ligand-modified quantum dot (32), liquid crystal display panel manufacturing method, and liquid crystal display panel. When illuminated with ultraviolet light, the ligand-modified quantum dot (32) and the polymerizable monomer (33) can polymerize to form a polymer. The polymer is then deposited on a substrate (1, 2) to form a polymer film (41, 42). The polymer film can be used to replace a PI alignment film. The invention simplifies an alignment step of liquid crystal manufacturing, reduces cost, and improves, by means of the quantum dot anchored to the polymer film (41, 42), the display quality of the liquid crystal display panel. The liquid crystal display panel manufacturing method eliminates a step for producing a PI alignment film, simplifying the method and reducing production costs. The liquid crystal display panel manufactured using the method also provides better display quality. The liquid crystal display panel replaces a PI alignment film with the polymer film (41, 42), the polymer film obtained by polymerizing the ligand-modified quantum dot (32) with a polymerizable monomer. The invention greatly improves the quality of the panel and provides a low production cost.
