Abstract:
A light-absorbing filter which comprises a resin, a dye having a main-absorption wavelength range at wavelengths of 400-700 nm, and a compound that generates a radical upon ultraviolet irradiation, wherein the resin is constituted from a polymer having partial structures respectively having a high affinity and a low affinity for both the dye and the compound that generates a radical upon ultraviolet irradiation or a light-absorbing filter which comprises a dye having a main-absorption wavelength range at wavelengths of 400-700 nm and a resin constituted from a polymer including a partial structure that generates a radical upon ultraviolet irradiation; an optical filter comprising these light-absorbing filters; a self-luminescent display device; an organic electroluminescent display device; a liquid-crystal display device; and a method for producing the optical filter.
