Abstract:
A light-activation control device (STS) for vehicles comprises: a detection unit (12) which detects a first image-capture pulse (Ps1) defining the timing at which image-capture is carried out by a camera (KK) that is capable of carrying out the image-capture in bright areas and that is configured to carry out the image-capture according to a predetermined frame rate; a generation unit which outputs a control signal (CS) for applying, to an auxiliary lamp (SL) provided to a vehicle, duty control at a predetermined duty ratio, and which, when the first image-capture pulse (Ps1) is detected, generates a light-activation pulse (Pon1) such that the timing for lighting the auxiliary lamp (SL) is changed to match the timing of a second image-capture pulse (Ps2) that comes after the first image-capture pulse (Ps1); and a drive unit (14) which drives the auxiliary lamp (SL) so as to light the auxiliary lamp (SL) according to the light-activation pulse (Pon1).
