Abstract:
A light blocking member according to the present disclosure is designed for a projection video display device provided with an optical system that projects video light, and a projection lens on which the video light is incident, and is located between the optical system and the projection lens, the light blocking member being provided with a first light blocking part that absorbs part of unnecessary light unnecessary for the projection lens out of the video light and converts the part of the unnecessary light into heat, and a reflection part that reflects, as reflected light, light not absorbed by the first light blocking part out of the unnecessary light.
